Acute Lymphoid Leukemia (ALL) in Children This illness originates in lymphatic cells of the bone marrow. At the time of diagnosis, it is revealed that normal bone marrow is completely replaced by leukemic cells. This disease responds well to treatment, being highly curable in children. (Most patients are under age 10.) ALL is the most common cancer found in children under age 15 in the United States. It is less frequent in African-American children. |
