Casodex

Casodex was a new drug, being used in treatment of patients with prostate cancer. Prostate cancer cells are sensitive to male hormone and their growth depends on it. Casodex inhibits the binding of male hormone, testosterone, to prostate cancer cells. It was used in conjunction with other hormonal treatments such as Lupron, Zolodex, etc. Recent studies have shown no additional benefit from using Flutamide and drugs with similar activity (Casodex).
