Dr. Tirgan is a board certified medical oncologist who has been in private oncology practice since 1990. He did his basic oncology training at Boston University and trained in bone marrow transplantation at Vancouver General Hospital, in Canada.  He is currently a teaching attending physician at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.
