Hyperthermia

High body temperature (fever) is seen quite frequently as part of our reaction to a variety of illnesses, specially infections. Hyperthermia is a situation when temperature goes higher than 103 and causes dysfunction in body organs. Patients who suffer from Hyperthermia may loose consciousness and even have seizures.

Hyperthermia can be induced in a controlled situation and in a small part of the body where there is a cancer, as a result casing damage to the cancerous tissue. This is induced by sophisticated methods and separation of blood circulation and heating of the blood to very high levels. This method has not proven to be of a significant value in cancer treatment.
