Mammogram Mammogram is an x-ray study of the breasts whereby simple X-Ray images are obtained and studied by a radiologist. Women above age 45 should have a yearly mammogram. If two consecutive studies are normal, then mammograms can be performed every other year. Women above age 65 should have a mammogram every year.
