Mithramycin

Mithramycin is one of the older chemotherapy drugs, which has been in use for decades. This drug is used in the treatment of high calcium levels. It is given by intravenous route only.

Side effects:

The degree and severity of the side effects depend on the amount and schedule of the administration of Mithramycin. Following are some of the most common and important ill effects:

• Low white blood counts

• Anemia

• Low platelet count

• Loss of appetite
