Temodar (Temozolomide)

This drug was approved by FDA for treatment of brain tumors that have failed to respond to other chemotherapy treatments.  It comes in a oral capsule form and is normally used once a day.  Its most important side effects are suppression of bone marrow and lowering of blood counts.

Side effects:

The degree and severity of the side effects depend on the amount and schedule of the administration of Idarubicin. Following are some of the most common and important ill effects:

• Low white blood counts

• Low platelet counts

• Anemia

• Nausea, Vomiting

• Headache

• Fatigue

It is Imperative that patients relay any side effects or problems to their medical oncologists.
