Zyloprim (Allopurinol)

Zyloprim is an oral medication (Tablet) used in treatment or prevention of high Uric acid. Zyloprim is given three times a day and is quite effective.

Side effects:

Zyloprim has a few important side effects and both the physician prescribing it as well as the patient taking it must be aware.

• Low White Blood cells

• Low Platelet Count

• Kidney dysfunction

• Allergic reaction and skin rash

It is imperative that patients communicate any side effects or problems to their medical oncologist.
